INSENSA GIS - Getting Started

Welcome the help of INSENSA GIS, a software designed for statistical GIS data analysis, spatial index development and sensitivity analysis. Among other functions, the software allows to import GIS data and to calculate weighted indices as combinations of different individual GIS layers. It also provides a user-friendly interface to conduct standardized sensitivity analyses for the created indices. Furthermore, it offers options to calculate statistical values, to create new maps based on the imported GIS files and to export files and results in different formats.

The software is an open source product and can be downloaded for free. It offers the option to implement new functions within a plugin environment in Java or in R. The following help gives a basic introduction and an overview of the different functions and methods that have been implemented as well as the plugin development.
